Canomiks was founded by three Harvard professors and renowned scientists with a mission to bring the most cutting edge science to the natural products industry. Dr. Pradhan-Nabzdyk and Dr. Bhasin grew up in India, where herbal and botanical medicine has been a common practice for thousands of years. Upon moving to the United States, they watched the “food as medicine” trend rapidly grow in the marketplace and began exploring scientific opportunities within the natural product space. They discovered a need for scientific evidence-based product development in the industry, and opportunities to improve nutraceutical ingredient testing, and validating. Together with Dr. LoGerfo, they launched Canomiks to leverage their combined expertise in genomics, medicine, and pharmacology and apply it to the natural products industry.
At Canomiks, we work with ingredient suppliers, finished product manufacturers, marketers, and retailers in the dietary supplement, functional food and beverage, and health and beauty industries to help them create safe and efficacious products. By providing pre-clinical solutions, we help these companies ensure the products are effective and safe. We are the first technology company that uses genomics and AI to validate, test and certify the biological efficacy and safety of botanical ingredients. We use innovative and AI-based testing methods, along with methodologies typically only used in the pharmaceutical industry and academic research. Canomiks’ technology development is partly funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF).
